I think it’s OK – it’s not like their purpose is to deliberately damage cars. Their purpose is to stop people travelling through, and if people are going to be cavalier with the rules about where they’re allowed to go, and disregard the many signs, then the consequences on their heads.
When will people learn to read signs that say that unauthorised vehicles shouldn’t do certain things? I guess the answer is when people stop thinking that rules apply to everyone other than themselves.
