That way they can all be brought together in galleries like this one:

Information about the people who made our wedding happen:

The venue: Woodborough Hall
The band: New Corona Band
The photographer: Butterworth Photography
The bus hire company: Exclusive Cars
Table decorations: Dunelm Mill

Original information below.

If you’re reading this, hopefully you’ve been invited to Alex and Paul’s civil partnership and celebrations on October 9th, 2010. The ceremony is 12.30pm for 1pm and the evening bash begins at 7.30pm

The venue

The ceremony, the reception and the evening do are all at Woodborough Hall, in the village of Woodborough to the west of Nottingham. It is easily accessible by car from Mapperley Top in the city or from the A46 if travelling from the south.

There is no accommodation, but there should be ample parking for guests. Please car-share where possible and consider using the bus we are providing from Nottingham railway station and the Jurys Inn Hotel.

Venue website: woodboroughhall.co.uk

Accommodation

We have negotiated a group rate with the Jurys Inn Hotel, next to Nottingham Railway Station. Rooms are £55, £61 with breakfast, £68 for two sharing.

To book, please phone 0115 901 6700 – choose 1 for individual booking and quote “Allocation booking code FOST091010.” Please book before 9 September to be sure of getting the advance rate. More details http://nottinghamhotels.jurysinns.com/.

A list of small country B&Bs is below if you would prefer.

Bus transport to venue

We have booked a classic London red bus to leave the Jurys Inn Hotel at 12.00noon and 6pm to take guests to Woodborough Hall, and to return at 10pm, 10.45pm and 11.30pm.

It should be possible to connect with late trains leaving Nottingham if you would rather not stay overnight. The hotel is also within 10 minutes walk of Nottingham’s nightlife, and 5 minutes walk of Nottingham’s Tram, if you prefer to use Tram park and ride signposted from J26 of the M1

Children

Are welcome. Due to a shortage of space in the actual ceremony room, we might have to ask the children who are still small enough to sit on laps or otherwise share a seat with their parents.

Wedding List

Please note in some invites we got the number wrong. The correct number is 424279.

If you would like to buy a present, we have registered with John Lewis. The list number is 424279. You can buy in person at a JL store, over the phone at 0845 600 2202 or online at johnlewis.com

The list will be available from 28 August.

Bellringers

We hope to have the bells at Woodborough church for a quarter peal and some open ringing in the afternoon. The bells should be audible from the hall, and have been recently refurbished and augmented to 6. If you would like to ring, please let Alex know – nilesuk@gmail.com

Evening do

We’re getting in a ceilidh band, so bring your dancing shoes.

There will be free beer and a cash bar.

Just got home from gadding around on holiday to find your wedding invitation.

Would love to come, and hope that you will accept this as a RSVP.

    Hi Alex

Thanks for the invitation, unfortunately, I am away that weekend in Stoke! Absolutely gutted to be missing the celebrations especially the ride on the London bus and showing of my dancing skills with the ceilidh!

Hope you both have a very special day and wish you lots of happiness for the future.

Dear Alex, We’re really looking forward to Saturday, especially if the car is repaired in time – big front suspension spring just broke this morning – it’s getting old, not going to say like me. I’m writing this as I just remembered you talked about bells. I couldn’t do anything but call changes now, but would love to have a go at some time if possible – as you know there’s nothing like it in France. They say it’s like riding a bike and the last time I tried in Leominster just before Han’s wedding I found it quite exciting and I didn’t break anything !
We’re also hoping you’ll be able to come and see us soon as man and er man so you can choose a painting and relax after all the big build up. Lots of love and really hoping to see you on Saturday – they won’t want the car in the workshop too long polluting all the shiny new cars with its dull paintwork. John and Chris XXXX

Woe is me, I have lost your invite, although I still have your info sheet – which is just as well.

I won’t be able to make the whole day but will get to Woodborough Hall around 6ish. Will that be OK? I’m not sure about the timing of everything other than ceremony at 12.30 for 1pm and evening bash at 7.30pm.

Weather is set fair and warm for Saturday. It will be enchanting!

    Sue xx
